Hey there Maddy. Thanks for sharing your question with planDisney and a very warm welcome to the Magic Key family! How exciting!
I, too, am the purchaser of tickets and passes in my household so I've been exactly in your shoes when it comes to getting my husband set up with his
Magic Key Pass. Don't worry, it is fairly straightforward to get your partner set up with access to their own Magic Key Pass.
First, you'll open and sign into the
Disneyland mobile app under the account to which you wish to link the Magic Key Pass. In this case, it would be your partner's account. Then, you can tap the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner of your app screen and navigate to the icon "Tickets and Passes." There, you'll see a (+) symbol in the upper right corner which will allow you to link your Magic Key Pass either by scanning the electronic barcode or manually entering the ID number of the pass.
Maddy, now that your partner's Magic Key Pass will be added to their own mobile device, I still suggest you keep it linked to your own. Linking all members of your party together in the app will allow you to
secure theme park reservations together, select Lightning Lane entrances, should you choose to purchase
Disney Genie+ Service, or join the virtual queue together for
Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway - the newest attraction opening January 27!
I hope these tips are helpful as you get ready to enjoy a whole year of magic and wonder through the Magic Key Program! If we can offer any other ideas or suggestions, please stop by
planDisney again!
The magic awaits you,
Tishra
