    I bought my magic key in January. Sales for magic keys have reopened today. I would like to upgrade my pass. Can I upgrade even though my magic key doesn’t expire until Jan of next year?

    I can definitely relate to your desire to upgrade your current Magic Key pass. I upgraded my pass during my last renewal window and have been soaking up all the extra magic. You most certainly can upgrade your Magic Key pass outside of your renewal window as long as the pass that you'd like to upgrade to is available for sale. The Magic Key Buying Guide states that you will need to visit a Disneyland Resort ticket booth in person to upgrade your pass. I also reached out to a friendly Cast Member who confirmed that this is the only way to complete this transaction. Keep in mind that once you've upgraded, the expiration date of your Magic Key pass will not change. 

    I hope you've been enjoying your time as a Magic Key holder thus far. I enjoy all the perks, like exclusive offerings and discounts, that you get when you are a Magic Key holder. Have you checked out the portal for Magic Key holders in the Disneyland app? I usually like to visit the portal before and during my visits to make sure I'm not missing out on any offerings.
