Welcome to planDisney and thank you for your question! How exciting that you’ll be coming to the Walt Disney World Resort this fall, it’ll be here before you know it!
In my experience, personalized MagicBands cannot be returned, refunded, or exchanged. This means if your name is printed on the inside of the MagicBand, they cannot be returned. Also keep in mind that once you select MagicBands in
My Disney Experience, you aren’t able to go back and re-add others. So, unfortunately you wouldn't be able to exchange your current MagicBands for
MagicBand+.
Now, if a member of your party doesn’t already have a MagicBand associated with them for this vacation, you could purchase one for that individual after the launch on July 27th.
If the above isn’t an option because everyone in your party already has a MagicBand, Hakuna Matata, you can purchase MagicBand+ at a
number of locations at the Walt Disney World Resort or on
shopDisney after the release. This way you could have the original version of the MagicBand and the new MagicBand+ version as well. Remember, both can be used on future Walt Disney World Resort vacations.
