    I bought magic bands for a May 2017 vacation. Will they still work as disney is releasing "puck bands" in January 2017

    Hey, Michelle!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am so glad you asked this question because I also wondered about the future of MagicBands with the release of the new model.

    I spoke with a Cast Member to confirm my suspicion and they said that as long as your MagicBand is connected to your Disney account through My Disney Experience it will continue to work. As of now, we don't know the future of the MagicBand 2 but it opens "a whole new world" of possibilities for accessories including keychains and lanyards.
