I bought magic band + for me my husband and 2 kids. I tried linking them to my account but was only able to link mine. Is it because we are 200 days out from the trip. Do I have to wait till we are 180 left till the trip?

    Hi there, Jennifer!

Thanks so much for your question! I'm sorry that you're having some technical difficulties, but I'll do my best to help you get linked up and ready for the parks.

Using MagicBand+ at Disneyland Resort is so much fun! You can certainly link more than one MagicBand+ to your Disneyland Mobile App, I do that to manage bands for my kids when we visit. Just follow these setup instructions:

    1. Tap the button on the back of your band once and hold it next to your phone
    2. Open the Disneyland Mobile App when prompted
    3. Follow the instructions in the app to link the band to your Disney account
If you still can't link the bands to your account you can try the troubleshooting tips on the Disneyland website. Generally, it's a good idea to check that your MagicBand+ is charged and that your version of the mobile app is updated. You can also use the Disneyland Mobile App to chat with a Cast Member for help with MagicBand+ by opening the main menu (tap the "☰" button in the app) and tapping on the "Chat with Us" button. It's possible that your bands may not link correctly before you have park tickets linked to your Disney account, so I'd also check to make sure your tickets show in the app.

Each MagicBand+ can be linked to one ticket, but you're welcome to change up your Disney style and switch your bands around! Just use the MagicBand+ link in the main menu of the Disneyland Mobile App to manage all the bands linked to your account. Once a band is linked to a park ticket you can also customize the light and haptics settings in the app.

My kids love the feeling of independence they get from using their bands in the parks. Being able to "tap" in at the park gates and Lightning Lane queues makes them so happy! They also love to use their bands to link photos from Disney PhotoPass Photographers. But their favorite thing to do with their bands is hunt for villainous scum on Batuu. Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters is such a fun way to explore, and you never know who you might bump a fellow (very famous) bounty hunter!

I hope you're enjoying the countdown to your visit, Jennifer! Please come visit us again if you have more questions before your trip!

    Keep moving forward!
