Bright suns, Ricardo, and welcome to
planDisney!
I sense the Force is strong with you, so I’m sorry to hEAR that you’re having issues with your new custom lightsaber from
Savi’s Workshop – Handbuilt Lightsabers. My son built his own legendary lightsaber a couple years ago, and I was able to attend as his Guest. It was definitely an experience I’ll never forget!
Just like you, my son started having issues with his lightsaber shortly after he bought it. We discovered that he needed to change the three AAA batteries that power the lightsaber. Here are some instructions to help you check your batteries, too: First, look for the cylindrical battery pack in the bottom of the chassis – it’s hidden by the pommel cap. You’ll see that the pommel cap attaches to the bottom of the hilt. So, you’ll need to remove the cap and the attachment holding the battery pack in place. Next, you’ll slide the pack out, replace the batteries, reinsert the pack and the attachment, and place the pommel cap back on the hilt. I sure hope this helps you!
If changing the batteries doesn’t help, I recommend sending an email to merchandise.guest.services@disneyparks.com. In your email, include an image showing your proof of purchase, whether it’s your receipt or a portion of your credit card statement that proves you purchased your lightsaber from
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. You can include a brief description of the issue you're having, or even a video if you’re able to capture it. This will help narrow down the issue so that the Cast Member can help you come to a solution faster. I can’t wait for your lightsaber’s Kyber Crystal to glow brightly once again, Ricardo!
If you have any other questions about your lightsaber, you can call the Disneyland Resort’s
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Experiences phone line at (714) 300-7805. The Cast Member I spoke with was super helpful in giving me the above information to pass along to you.
May the Force be with you!
