Disney100 Celebration happening now, this is an amazing year to be visiting the Disneyland Resort!
Upgrading a Magic Key pass can only be done at a Disneyland Resort ticket booth, and your opportunity to upgrade depends on if the type of Magic Key you want to upgrade to is currently available.
You can check the current availability of Magic Key passes here, but know that availability is subject to change at any time. You will only be able to upgrade to a pass type that is open for purchase—passes that say "Available for Renewal" are not an option for you to upgrade to. So if the pass type that you want to upgrade to is available then I wouldn't wait long!
Whether you upgrade your pass or not, there are
awesome discounts available for Magic Key holders! Did you know there's a whole dining location just for Magic Key holders? I definitely recommend checking out the
Magic Key Terrace in Disney California Adventure Park! The Quesabirria Flatbread is delicious!
