Let me start by describing some of the exciting features of
Disney Genie which have been helpful to me. Within the
Disneyland mobile app, click on “Tip Board” and go to “My Day.” You should see an area labeled “Get Started with Disney Genie!” where you can leverage the complimentary portion of the service to note your interests and priorities, so Genie can put together an itinerary for your visit.
Disney Genie+ (which is the extra service I believe you have already purchased) is going to give you access to attractions much more quickly! My family and I always purchase Disney Genie+ so we can do more during our days at the parks. Here are a few tips to unlock the cosmic power of Genie+:
• When you purchase Genie+, you get access to 19 Lightning Lanes. Check out
the list of attractions that include Lightning Lanes. You can use one Lightning Lane per attraction per day. The Lightning Lane queues are far shorter than standby queues.
• There are three attractions not included in Genie+, with
Individual Lightning Lanes you can purchase “a la carte” with or without Genie+. These are three wishes worth making!
• The easiest way to find available Lightning Lane windows is in the Disneyland mobile app under the Tip Board. The attractions that have Lightning Lanes will be labeled with “LL Disney Genie+” and give you the option to book the experience.
• You can make your next selection immediately after your current selection is redeemed. Or, if it’s been more than 120 minutes from the time you made the selection, guess what, you can make another selection! Example: at 9:00 a.m. you made a Lightning Lane selection for Space Mountain and the arrival window starts at 2:00 p.m.. At 11:00 a.m. you can make another selection even though you haven’t redeemed your Space Mountain Lightning Lane yet. Pro tip – set a timer on your phone to remind you when you can make the next selection.
