Welcome to planDisney, Jackelyn!
It’s so nice to have you visiting us today, I’ll be more than happy to help answer your question. As a military spouse myself, I understand your worries but I am here to say,
Hakuna Matata, it means no worries.
The good thing is, that the
value of the ticket can be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket so long as the tickets remain unused and the cost of the new ticket is equal to or greater than the amount paid for the original. That means you have nothing to worry about! As you begin to plan for 2026, be sure to make sure to keep your eyes out for a new military offer. Fingers crossed we get a 2026 Military Salute ticket because the I know
the 2025 one is great! We've used this offer ourselves over the last few years and we getting ready to take advantage of this years too! We are just trying to figure out the dates that would work best for our family. I'm personally hoping for a spring visit so that we can enjoy
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival, it's my favorite.
Something to consider would be going twice! I know it is difficult to visit without your eligible service member, but if you are a spouse with a military ID, you qualify to activate those tickets as well. My little ones and I have visited Walt Disney World without my husband (our sponsor) a few times and while we missed him, it was still nice to enjoy the theme parks and resorts. We even brought grandma along to join us!
Jackelyn, I hope this answers your question. In the meantime, I recommend checking out the
military savings on resort rooms. Even thoug 2025 may not be the year you visit, you can use this time to check out the available
resort options or maybe even book the trip!
See ya real soon,
Shantel
