Hello! I just bought an EV and am wondering about charging in the Toy Story Parking lot. I know there are chargers available, but do we have to come back once the car is fully charged to move out of the charging spot and into a regular parking spot?

Hey there, Elizabeth! We are so glad you've stopped by planDisney with your question about your upcoming visit!

You'll be headed to the parks VERY soon and your electric vehicle charging question is a great one. I do recommend heading to Toy Story Parking Area out of all of them with electric vehicle charging stations as I believe it has the best availability. While I do not think it's required to come back to your vehicle once it's fully charged to move it, I do think that it's an unspoken electric vehicle etiquette. When you arrive at the parking lot and purchase your parking, I recommend letting the Cast Member know you are interested in charging your vehicle. They can point you in the correct direction for this and you can also ask them if you are required to move your vehicle after charging.

Disneyland Resort uses the ChargePoint network of chargers, so a ChargePoint account is required to access vehicle charging in these designated spaces. This means you can get this set up ahead of time through their app or website. There you can see availability, charging rates, and also keep track of when your vehicle is fully charged.

Elizabeth, I hope all of this information helps you get ready to head to Disneyland Resort! We are here for any other planning questions you might have!
