Hi, I just bought e-tickets to Disneyland; and it shows up in my Disneyland app but I can't link it with my Disneyland Experience app. I just want to use the Disney MagicMobile function.

    Hello there Truong,

Welcome to planDisney and thank you so much for your question! I'm thrilled to see that your trip to the Disneyland Resort is coming up in a little over a week from when I'm answering this question - it'll be here before you know it!

You ask a really great question, so again, I'm happy that you stopped by to ask as you continue to plan your visit. The Disneyland Resort and the Walt Disney World Resort have two separate and distinct apps - and both resorts have different tools to use during your visit.

The Disneyland Resort does not utilize Disney MagicMobile service - that is currently only a tool for use at the Walt Disney World Resort. However, the Disneyland mobile app has many of the same features!

You can use the Disneyland Resort app, as you already noted in your question, to access and scan your tickets when entering one of the parks. You can also quickly and easily link Disney PhotoPass images to your Disney account by selecting the Menu button, tapping the "Photos" button then "Link Photos" in the top right of your screen. All of your Disney PhotoPass images will show up in this section after they've been scanned.

If you've purchased Disney Genie+ Service, you'll be able to make your Lightning Lane selections from the app as well! My preferred method of doing this is selecting the Home button, then tap "My Day" next to "Upcoming Plans" near the middle of the home page, then tap the "Tip Board" toggle at the top of this next page. This will show you a list of all the attractions with Lightning Lane entrances and their next available window for selection. Note that Disney Genie+ Service is an additional purchase and you won't be able to utilize this feature until you've actually scanned your ticket into a park.

Lastly, you can also place Mobile Food Orders and perform Merchandise Mobile Checkout where available around the Disneyland Resort - also through the Menu section of the app!

I'm a huge fan of the Disneyland Resort app and use it pretty extensively when I visit - it's so helpful! Thanks again for your question, Truong, and enjoy your upcoming visit.

    Have a Magical Day,
    Greg
