    I bought the dining plan and tried to make a reservation But are asking me for a credit card to reserve my reservation Must I use a card and how long do I have to cancel before I am charged and what would I be charged ?? In Walt Disney world

    Hi Desiree! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    In my opinion the Disney Dining Plans make life a whole lot easier when planning a vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort. I love that there are different plans that will fit different family’s needs. For my family the Disney Dining Plan works best for us and really helps us stick to a budget as most of our meals are paid for before we even arrive!

    Whenever you make a Table-Service dining reservation a credit card is required to hold the reservation. Your credit card will not be charged unless you do not show up for your dining reservation and have not cancelled your reservation in advance. Dining Reservations can be cancelled up to 11:59 P.M. Eastern Time on the day before your arrival. If you cancel within the designated cancellation policy your credit card will not be charged. If you do not cancel within that cancellation policy, it is my understanding that your credit card will be charged a fee of $10.00 per person on your dining reservation. I highly recommend that you do make your dining reservations in advance to guarantee a seat at your favorite restaurants.
