Hello there, Christian!
Welcome, and thanks for bringing your question to
planDisney. I know it must have been a big disappointment to cancel your magical vacation last year, but I hope that 2021 proves to be a much more magical year for your family!
Yes, many
theme park tickets set to expire in 2020 received an expiration date extension due to the pandemic-related theme park closures. Most unused
Disneyland Resort tickets from that time period now have an expiration date of December 16, 2021, and there’s a good chance the extension applies to your tickets as well. That said, even if the new expiration date arrives before you’re able to visit California, you should still be able to use the amount you paid last year as credit toward new tickets in the future when you’re able to travel!
My first suggestion is to link the tickets you previously purchased to your account on
Disneyland.com or the
Disneyland mobile app to check their current expiration date, which should have been automatically updated. If you have any issues linking the tickets or if the expiration date you see isn’t what was expected, please call (714) 781-4636 to speak with a Cast Member.
I hope this helps you prepare for your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth, and that you’re able to enjoy your family’s long-awaited vacation soon, Christian. Do you have any other planning questions? Please don’t hesitate to ask!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
