Erinn from CA Asked Please note that experiences, policies, pricing and other offerings are subject to change and may have changed since the date of this answer.

I bought a 1 day tier 3 park hopper pass a few months ago. The date we are trying to go is a blocked out date. Can I upgrade my current ticket to go during that blocked out date (November 21st)?

Hi there, Erinn! Welcome to planDisney! I won't waste any time jumping into your question. I can see that you are hoping to visit the parks in just TWO days!

The good news is that single-day tickets can be upgraded if you change your plans and decide to go on a day that falls into a higher tier. Hooray! The one caveat is that upgrades are done in person at the Main Entrance Ticket Booths, which I know can be a challenge for those that are not local to the Disneyland Resort or if you are hoping to change to a day when theme park reservations are unavailable. While I know that is not the most pixie-dusted news, I like to flag this to Guests to avoid anyone being turned away from the magic! If this is the case for you, try giving the Guest Services team a call to discuss your situation directly. I'm wishing upon a star that you can get your Disneyland ducks in a row ahead of your park day!

With Thanksgiving week upon us, I do want to share that theme park reservations for the early part of this week are currently booked, particularly on November 21st and 22nd. This is not to say that they will not open up! Much like yourself, Guests are always changing their plans and canceling and rescheduling reservations. The calendar updates as these changes come through, so with a little faith, trust, and ... patience (and lots of refreshing!), you might find some openings pop up in the next few days. Guests are asked to cancel by 11:59 p.m. the evening before, so usually, that's where you might see some movement!

If you don't find yourself in the parks this week, there is still so much magic ahead! The holiday celebration continues through January 8, 2023! My favorite holly jolly way to celebrate is to grab a sweet treat and head to Fantasyland to catch the "it's a small world" Holiday Lighting. There's nothing quite like seeing that famous façade light up with twinkle lights! What I love most about this particular experience is that you don't have to get there early to stake out a spot, you can walk up and enjoy just as it's starting! There's usually plenty of room for little Mouseketeers to run around and every spot has a great view. Might as well hop aboard the merriest cruise on earth afterward and sing along to some of your favorite holiday tunes!

Erinn, I hope the holiday magic leads you to Main Street, U.S.A. very soon! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

    Magic awaits!
