Hey there Gabriel,
Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Arizonan! Thanks so much for this question - it sounds like you've got a year of new adventures ahead of you on your visits to the Happiest Place on Earth.
From the details you provided in your question, it certainly does sound like you'd be just fine to use your
standard theme park ticket for one park and your
Magic Key for the other. The only additional caveat to mention - which I imagine you've already thought of - would be that your Magic Key needs to be eligible to visit on your chosen day.
If you're visiting in the next few weeks, make sure to read the new
Foodie Guide on the
Disney Parks Blog about the
Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! There are some amazingly delicious offerings that come with this seasonal celebration.
Since you have a Magic Key now and we Arizonans are just a short road trip away from the Disneyland Resort, I'd recommend also keeping an eye on the
Special Events page! The Disneyland After Dark events are so much fun and happen throughout the year. My favorite after-hours event is
Oogie Boogie Bash - A Disney Halloween Party, which I got to experience for the first time last year. For all of these events, Magic Keyholders typically get the opportunity for an early ticket-buying window!
Thanks again for your question, Gabriel! I hope you have an amazing time visiting the Disneyland Resort.
Have a Magical Day,
Greg
