Disneyland Resort Holidays

I bought 2 day single park Disneyland tickets and want to now upgrade to hopper passes for both days. How can I do this? Also, how far in advance do future park reservations open? I've been waiting for January and still no availability.

Hi Lisa! Welcome to planDisney! I can tell you that kicking off the New Year at the Happiest Place on Earth is sure to bring some magic to your yEAR! Let's dig into your question so that you can get all your Disney ducks in a row for your trip.

I love to see that you are thinking and planning ahead! While the crowds will start to die down after the holiday, if you will be there for the New Years' weekend, it's a good idea to get your theme park tickets and theme park reservations in place as soon as you can. Theme park reservations open up 120 days ahead of time, and I can see from the calendar that the first week of January now has reservations available! Note that One Park Per Day and Park Hopper tickets each have their own pool of reservations to pull from, so be sure to toggle to the correct calendar when you are looking into availability. On that note ... let's get to the next part of your question.

If you are looking to upgrade from a 2-day One Park Per Day ticket to a 2-day Park Hopper ticket, technically those upgrades can only be made in person at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths. I can see that you are based in Arizona and this is likely not the most magical news to hear as you are trying to lock in your plans. My best advice would be to give the Guest Services team a call at (714) 781-4636 and speak to someone directly about your situation. The Cast Members there will be happy to help you as best they can!

Once your tickets are sorted, you can start daydreaming of all the magic ahead! The best news is that while the holidays may have passed, the Disneyland Resort will still be decked in the holly jolly through January 8, 2023! You'll get to enjoy "it's a small world" Holiday, "Believe ...In Holiday Magic" Fireworks, and, my personal favorite, A Christmas Fantasy Parade all at Disneyland Park! Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you'll get to bask in celebrations from all over the world at Disney Festival of the Holidays, and there is nothing merrier than a swing through Cars Land when it's decked for the season!

Lisa, I'll be sending you a wish upon a star that the tickets and reservations align for your trip! If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney!

    Be merry!
