Hello Lisa, and welcome to
planDisney!
Isn't being a Florida Resident the best? Not only do you enjoy Olaf-approved weather all year, but as one of Mickey Mouse's closest neighbors, you're eligible for exclusive deals on
tickets and
resort stays.
Speaking of theme park admission savings, it sounds like you took advantage of the
Florida Resident Discover Disney Ticket. If you can't make it to the theme parks on one of the days you reserved, hakuna matata! No worries! You will not redeem a day's admission unless you scan in and enter at a park entrance. While you won't be penalized for not showing up for your
reservation, it's always best to cancel (even on the same day) if your plans change. That way, you can start planning and reserving your next magical day as soon as possible!
I hope this is helpful, Lisa. Your Florida Resident Discover Disney ticket is valid until September 28, 2024, giving you ample time to explore the theme parks. Several new experiences are coming to Walt Disney World
this summer and beyond, so stay tuned to
our Instagram page and the
Disney Parks Blog to keep up with the news. My family is looking forward to joining
Tiana and her New Orleans pals in
Magic Kingdom Park, and we're eagerly awaiting an announcement regarding this attraction's opening date. Fingers crossed, the bayou will be ready for visitors in time for my August trip!
Thanks for sending your question to us, Lisa. If there's anything else we at planDisney can do to help with future trips, don't hesitate to write back. We love to talk about everything related to Disney vacations! Have a fantastic summer, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" soon.
Have a magical day,
Betsy
