Hiya Jonathan,
Welcome to planDisney! Thank you for submitting your question to us.
The Disneyland Resort requires a valid
theme park ticket and
theme park reservation for admission into the parks (subject to change). Guests can review park reservation availability ahead of time on the
Theme Park Reservation Calendar, which accounts for the variety of tickets available. Without a park reservation, Guests with a theme park ticket will not be granted admission into the parks.
I have
waved my magic wand and see that there is park availability for
Disneyland Park on your visit date (subject to change). Theme park reservation availability fluctuates quite often due to Guests shifting plans and changing their itineraries. I recommend you speak with a Cast Member on the
Tickets line to confirm park reservation availability for your visit date. If there is availability, they can assist with booking the park reservation for you! “All it takes is faith and trust!”
Tip from Tiffany: If park reservations do not open up for your visit, I recommend you purchase a
Park Hopper! Park hoppers grant Guests the opportunity to hop between both parks starting at 11 AM PST (time subject to change)! Theme park reservations are a requirement, but only for the first park you visit, so you wouldn’t need multiple park reservations for the day.
If you have an existing ticket, then you can speak with a friendly Cast Member on the Tickets line who will happily assist with upgrading your theme park ticket to a park hopper. You will need to pay the difference on the phone, so be sure to update the payment information in your MyDisney account, and just like magic, your ticket will be upgraded! Book a theme park reservation for
Disney California Adventure Park for rope drop, and once the clock strikes 11:00 AM PST, you can hop back and forth as many times as your heart desires (and as long as the parks do not reach capacity!).
If you have other questions about the Disneyland Resort, remember - you’ve got a friend in me!
