Hi Angela!
Welcome to planDisney! The
holidays officially begin at Walt Disney World on November 14, but I bet you’ll see sprinklings of holiday cheer around the theme parks during your planned visit!
The good news is, you should be able to return to Walt Disney World for the holidays if you upgrade your ticket to an
Annual Pass! I confirmed with the Cast Member that you can upgrade the
3-Day, 3-Park Florida Resident ticket to a Pirate Pass, as long as you
don’t use the original ticket on a Pirate Pass blockout date. I looked at the
Admissions Calendar, and at this time, the dates you shared are not blocked out for the Pirate Pass. You are also correct that the expiration date for your Annual Pass would be the first date you used the original 3-Day ticket. You can upgrade your ticket until the last day of use or when the ticket expires, whichever comes first.
You’ll be upgrading to an Annual Pass just in time to see the end of the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival on November 22, 2025, and the beginning of the
EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays on November 28, 2025! An official
Disney Eats Foodie Guide to the Holiday Festival hasn’t been posted yet, but my favorite activity is completing the
Holiday Cookie Stroll. Since I’m not a local, I usually try to complete the stroll over one vacation, but as a local Annual Passholder, you can visit several times to try the cookies and earn the reward!
Enjoy your upcoming visit, Angela! And once you upgrade to an Annual Pass you’ll have a full year of magical Disney World visits ahead! If you have any more questions, we’ll be here for you at
planDisney!
