Your magical visit will be here in just a few short days… time to get excited! I’m so glad to hEAR that you’d like to add
Disney Genie+ Service to your
theme park tickets – it’s my favorite handy helper in the parks! There are two ways to purchase Genie+ -- you can either add it to your original ticket purchase on
Disneyland.com, or you can add it to your ticket on a daily basis by using the
Disneyland app upon entering either of the theme parks. Since it sounds like you already purchased your ticket, you’ll need to wait until you’ve arrived in the theme parks to purchase it. So, on July 11, as soon as you’ve scanned your ticket at the front entrance of
Disneyland Park, you can go ahead and purchase Genie+ on your Disneyland app, and then you can do the same thing on July 12, upon entering
Disney California Adventure Park.
Here’s how it works: As soon as your ticket is scanned and you’ve entered Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure Park, open the home screen of your Disneyland app. From there, tap on the three lines in the lower-right corner. Select “My Genie Day” and look for “Get Disney Genie+ for Today.” Now, tap “Get Disney Genie+ Service,” and you’ll be prompted to select which ticket is eligible to add Genie+ for that day. Simply select the ticket you’d like to add the service to, and off you go! As soon as this transaction is complete, you can go ahead and book your first
Genie+ Lightning Lane.
As part of your Genie+ purchase, you’ll receive unlimited downloads of your Disney PhotoPass pictures from the day, which is one of my favorite perks! Keep an eye out for PhotoPass opportunities at Character dining locations and on some attractions, too.
