Hiya, Gabriëlla! Welcome to planDisney!
It looks like you’re planning a summer trip to
The Most Magical Place on Earth. How exciting! I’m happy to answer your question regarding theme park reservations, Gabriëlla.
Whether
theme park reservations are required will depend on the type of tickets you purchased. Date-based tickets, which are the type of tickets that most Guests purchase, do not require theme park reservations. You would have selected a start date for your tickets when you made your purchase. For 5-day tickets, you would also have a window of time from your start date to use your tickets, which don’t have to be on consecutive days. For example, as of this writing, 5-day date-based tickets starting on July 15 would be good for any 5 days between July 15 and July 22, 2026.
Select types of tickets do require theme park reservations. These types of tickets are the following:
1. Student group tickets
2. Sport and Convention tickets
3. Disney Military Salute Ticket
4. Annual Pass
5. All other ticket types not mentioned above
If you’ve purchased any of these types of tickets, you can make
theme park reservations on the Walt Disney World Resort website. You simply log in to your My Disney account, and under the “Guests with Tickets or Passes” box, select “Make a Park Reservation” and follow the prompts from there.
Based on what you’ve told me, I suspect you purchased date-based tickets. In that case, you’re good to go! No theme park reservations required. If you did purchase any of the other types of tickets I mentioned above, making theme park reservations is straightforward.
I hope that answers your question, Gabriëlla! I hope you have a wonderful vacation and if you have any other questions, please come back and see us here at
planDisney!
We’ll see you real soon!
