we bought a 5 day park hopper pass at military itr can i break our trip into 2 parts? two days on first trip and three days on the second?

Hi Michelle, and welcome to planDisney!

I see you are counting down the days to your summer vacation at the Walt Disney World Resort, and I'm so excited for you! Mine is a military family too, and I know how extra-special together time and magical R&R are for those of us who spend time apart in service to our country. Thank you for your service.

The answer to this question depends on which type of ticket you purchased. If you have the "Military Salute" tickets, which are also known as Military Promotional Theme Park Tickets, I have great news for you: these tickets may be used on non-consecutive days through their expiration date. The expiration date for 2020 and 2021 military salute tickets is currently December 17, 2021. I do advise you to check the expiration date on your tickets to be sure this is true for the tickets you have. I have tickets with a few days left on them from last year and am looking forward to using them in just a few days! I have split these tickets into two vacations many times and found it to be a great way to spread out the pixie dust.

If you have military-discounted Magic Your Way theme park tickets, these typically expire 14 days after the selected start date. If you're not sure which tickets you have, I recommend linking them to your My Disney Experience account; once linked, the ticket type and expiration date will display under "Tickets and Passes." You may also call the Existing Tickets Cast Members at (407) 566-4985 and they will be able to assist you.

Once you have your tickets linked, it's important to make Disney Park Pass reservations for your visit dates. As part of the phased reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort, reservations are required for each day you plan to enter a theme park. With the Park Hopper Option on your tickets, you'll be able to "hop" from your first park of the day to another park of your choosing at 2:00 p.m. each day (or when Park Hopper Hours begin). You won't need reservations for any parks after the first, but note that park hopping is subject to capacity restrictions.

Thanks for stopping by today with your question, Michelle! If you think of any more questions as you make your plans and count down the days, please come back and see us.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
