Thank you for stopping by planDisney, Thomas.
I’m sorry to hear your previous plans to visit The Happiest Place on Earth were scuttled by the current temporary closure of the
Disneyland Resort theme parks. I hope that conditions allow Disney to receive the go-ahead to give you the chance to use those tickets to visit the Disneyland Resort within the next few months.
A few unique theme park ticket types have been granted
automatic expiration date extensions: certain
promotional tickets, tickets for select international Guests, and Military Salute tickets. As of today, regular theme park tickets have not been given that sort of expiration extension. I recommend you keep an eye on the
Disneyland Resort phased reopening web page to watch for any updates in this regard. However, even if Disney does not happen to extend the expiration of those tickets, there is still good news for you. If you are unable to use your tickets while they are still valid, you can hold on to those tickets to exchange toward the price of new tickets. Most
expired tickets retain their original value. Generally, the value paid for a wholly unused Disneyland Resort theme park ticket may be applied toward the price of a new ticket of equal or greater value. When the theme parks reopen, you may visit a Main Entrance Ticket Booth to make the exchange.
Tony’s Tip: You are probably about as anxious I am to hear work about when the Disneyland Resort theme parks and the
Disneyland Resort Hotels will reopen. To be among the first to find out when the reopening will occur as well as how and when to make park reservations, keep an eye on the
Disney Parks Blog or follow the Disney Parks on your favorite
social media platforms. After state and local governments provide guidance on reopening, I suspect we’ll hear from the Disneyland Resort quickly.
“
Adventure is out there,” Thomas. I hope you and your girlfriend are able to enjoy some of the special adventure and fantasy of the Disneyland Resort really soon. If you have any more questions about the Disneyland Resort or other Disney Parks, please come see us again at
planDisney.
