I bought my daughter and my tickets. How do we get her ticket on her Disney account?

    Hi there, Cynthia!

How wonderful to be planning a magical visit to The Happiest Place on Earth with your daughter. I’m thankful for the opportunity to offer some help in your preparations.

Here are the steps to link a theme park ticket to another account.

    1. Open the Disneyland mobile app on your mobile phone and log in with the account used to purchase your tickets.
    2. From the ☰ feature menu, open the “Tickets and Passes” screen to display each of the tickets.
    3. Open the Disneyland app on another mobile phone and log in to the other account.
    4. Open the “Tickets and Passes” screen on the other device.
    5. Tap the “Link Tickets & Passes” button. If it is not showing, tap the ‘+’ button in the upper right corner.
    6. If the two devices are nearby, use the camera on the second device to scan the ticket barcode from the first device. Otherwise, manually type in the ticket ID.

I have sometimes seen unactivated Disney eTickets fail to link with another account. If that should happen to you, I suggest waiting until after activating the tickets by using them to enter a theme park. Once activated, eTickets automatically update their ticket ID to a new number. At that point, you can attempt the ticket linking again. In the meantime, you may use one device to scan each member of your party into the parks. Or you may share a screenshot of the eTicket with the other members of your party and they can have the Cast Member at the park entrance scan their ticket from their device. Be sure to keep each ticket straight, as only the first person who uses a given ticket may use it from then on.

Tony’s Tip: It’s OK to link all of your group’s tickets to all of the accounts being used during your visit. That way, you can each take turns booking Lightning Lane return times for each other if you are planning on purchasing the Disney Genie+ service. My wife and I also sometimes switch who shows our phone to scan at a park entrance or Lightning Lane return queue. That helps free up the other person to be using their device for other things, such as placing a mobile food and beverage order.

I hope that helps get you and your daughter on your way to a magical visit to the Disneyland Resort, Cynthia. Should you have any more questions as you head into a "world of yesterday, tomorrow and fantasy," please feel free to visit us at planDisney again.
