Hi! I bought my daughter a passport for Epcot, but we are not able to come back to the park until extra magic hours today. Is the World Showcase open during EMH? If so, are the passport booths still open?

    Hi Bonnie,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It sounds like you are in Walt Disney World right now – I hope you and your daughter are having an amazing time!

Isn’t the Epcot World Showcase Passport kit so cool? It’s so much fun to visit the 11 countries in Epcot’s World Showcase, complete the activities, and meet Cast Members from each country. My kids just love hearing stories about the countries they’re learning about, and I love hearing all the food recommendations! Don’t tell the kids, but it also gives parents a chance to check out the World Showcase while the kids are occupied with fun activities – magical win/win!

While the World Showcase is open during evening Extra Magic Hours, unfortunately the Kidcot Fun Stops where you complete the passport activities are not (they close at the park’s regular closing time). There’s still plenty of fun to be had, as lots of attractions, food, and shopping opportunities are open, but your daughter will need to complete the passport during regular park hours. My family loves visiting Epcot at night; between IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth’s fireworks show and the gorgeous lighting throughout the park, there’s magic in the air.

As they say on Spaceship Earth, I hope the rest of your vacation is "grand and miraculous!"
