Bonjour!
Welcome to planDisney, Donna! Thank you for visiting with your question about your upcoming trip to
Disneyland Paris. You will be arriving (fingers crossed) this weekend. I understand that this would usually be very exciting, but with the recent air traffic control strikes in France, it would also cause me some concern.
Let's get straight to your question. You have purchased
dated tickets for Disneyland Paris. These tickets offer great flexibility, as they are able to be cancelled for a full refund up to three days before arrival. With this in mind, if you were to cancel them, this deadline will be here very soon. I understand that you will not necessarily know three days in advance about the strikes, so this flexibility will not be so beneficial. You could consider cancelling them, booking undated tickets instead, and making park reservations for your visit days. Whilst undated tickets cannot be refunded, you do have up to a year to use them. At the time of writing, both Disney Parks are available for reservation on July 11th, but please note that reservations cannot be made for July 14th, October 31st, or December 31st.
Should you choose to stay with the dated tickets, and the worst does happen, and you are unable to travel to Disneyland Paris due to these strikes, I recommend reaching out to your Travel Insurance provider as soon as possible to understand your options.
I am sorry I have been unable to give you a definitive answer today, Donna. But hope I have been able to give you some ideas to help you plan. I wish you all the luck in the (Disney) world that you are able to travel to and from France with ease this weekend. If you have any further vacation planning questions, please
reach out to me. I'd love to help!
See ya real soon!
Matt
