We bought our bands along withreservations at Wilderness Lodge. We will stay one night. What is the effective time of the bands (from check in time to check out?) or can we arrive early on check in day and use only on check in day? Magic kingdom

    Hello Carole!

Your Walt Disney World vacation begins as soon as you check into your resort.  Even if your room is not ready at check-in, your MagicBands will be activated and you'll be able to enter the theme parks or water parks as well as use your Bands for the Disney Dining Plan (if applicable) and for room charging privileges.  If you already have your theme park tickets linked to your MagicBands, you could technically enter the parks without having to check in to your resort first, however, I recommend starting with resort check-in and then heading out.

On the day of check-out, your MagicBand will work as your resort room key and will have charging privileges until you check out of your resort.  Check out time for most resorts is 11:00am.  Even after checking out, your Bands will allow you to access the theme parks and water parks as well as use any Disney Dining Plan credits you may have remaining.  The dining credits will expire at 11:59pm on your day of check out.

I hope this helps, Carole.  Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Have a magical day,
