Hi I just bought a backpack and it has wheels on may I bring the bag into the park if we don’t use the wheel part

    Hello there, Anthony!

Welcome to planDisney. We are so happy you stopped by with your question. It's always a good idea to do some pre-planning before a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth to ensure a smooth arrival. I know that I always take time to plan out what I'm bringing into the parks to hold my essentials for a full day of magic, so let's take a look at your question together.

As part of the park-prep process, I like to review the latest rules and list of permitted and prohibited items. Unfortunately, suitcases, backpacks, or similar bags with wheels are not currently permitted. I'm sorry, I know that was not the news you were hoping to hear. Even if you don't plan to use the wheels, for the safety of other Guests, security would ask you to return the bag to your car before passing through. Generally speaking, devices like bags and stroller wagons that would be pulled behind the Guest are not permitted in the parks.

There are lockers of various sizes available to rent for the day in the Esplanade and also inside both Disneyland Park and California Adventure if you find yourself looking for a safe place to store purchases or essentials throughout the day. This may be a good option in lieu of carrying a larger-sized backpack. Within Disneyland, the lockers are located just off of Main Street as you make your way towards Sleeping Beauty Castle. Similarly, over at California Adventure, they are located right along Buena Vista Street, just a few steps from the main entrance.

Anthony, I hope this has set you up for a successful day in the parks! I'll leave you with one final park-prep tip! Depending on when you decide to visit, I always like to check the Entertainment Schedule, which is released about six weeks ahead of time to map out any must-see daytime or evening shows. This is a great way to plan out your day and end on a magical note!

If you have any more questions, we are always here for you at planDisney! Wishing you a magical visit!
