I bought AP's for myself, my soon to be 5 year old, and my grandmother. She will be bringing a scooter to the park, because that's a lot of walking for her. Does she have to go through security alone, or will our party be able to stay together?

Hello there, Kali! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for stopping by and submitting another excellent question!

Your upcoming multi-generational trip sounds like so much fun! You and you're family are in for such a treat! There are so many classic and new experiences available for your family to enjoy. Did you know that Walt Disney World Resort has specific resources for planning multi-generational trips? On this web page, you can find specific tips and tricks for planning a magical trip for Guests of all ages!

As someone that also requires a mobility-assistance device when visiting the parks, I was initially concerned about how my wheelchair would impact my experience at Walt Disney World Resort. Fortunately, I was pleasantly surprised with how Walt Disney World Resort handles serves their Guests with disabilities. Walt Disney World Resort is truly committed to providing each and every Guest with a magical vacation that they're sure to remember for years to come!

I have never once had to enter security separately from my family and, if by chance security needs to perform a more thorough inspection, I have always been allowed to stay with my party throughout the process. So, there is no reason that your mother would need to be separated from you and your son when entering security with her scooter!

I hope you and your family have an absolutely magical vacation! Please let us know if we can help you plan any other portion of your trip!
