Hi Amanda! Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with your question!
Congratulations on becoming an
Annual Passholder to the Walt Disney World Resort! Knowing that you can visit any day you want (as long as you have made your park reservation for the day) is a truly special feeling! The fact that you have not activated these passes yet is a remarkable feat. I don't think I would have had the willpower to do so! Although you were unable to visit this year so far, you still have plenty of time to take advantage of your Annual Passes.
You are absolutely correct about the terms and conditions regarding your Annual Passes. Your tickets are required to be activated at any time in the first year from the purchase date. You will have until that date in September to use them for the first time. Once activated, your Annual Pass year will begin and expire exactly one year from that date. You made a smart decision purchasing them when you did. Currently, Annual Pass sales have been made temporarily unavailable. Only
Guests residing in the state of Florida have an option to buy a pass at this time.
Once you decide to take your first trip as an Annual Passholder, you are going to have an amazing sense of freedom when visiting the parks. Not only will they include the
Park Hopper Option to allow you to visit multiple parks on the same day, but they also come equipped with
many benefits and perks. You will receive discounts to select merchandise and dining locations. Just recently, Annual Passholders were invited to an early preview of
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Passholders were allowed to choose a day to ride this newest attraction before the official opening date. Although you missed out on this, be on the lookout for when Tron Lightcycle Power Run is set to debut at the
Magic Kingdom Park. I have a feeling there may be a similar opportunity before the opening date of this attraction.
Amanda, once you decide to activate your passes, you are going to have an amazing year visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. Have a magical year!
See ya real soon!
