I bought an AP but I am not a Florida resident. I wanted to confirm that I won't be able to have my magic band on my first trip since we can't order the magic bands un til we activate the pass since and they will be mailed to our home.

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Kelly! Thanks for stopping by with your question.

Congratulations on your Walt Disney World Annual Pass, Kelly! Allow me to welcome you to the coolest club in the world! As a fellow Annual Passholder, I know you will absolutely love having the ability to visit often and enjoy even more of the endless magic at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Kelly, you are correct. Your window to customize your Annual Pass MagicBand opens once you activate it on your next visit. If you happen to have a MagicBand from a previous trip, you should be able to use it on your next visit. You will still have to activate your AP once you arrive, but once it's activated, your existing MagicBand should be good to go. Before you arrive, be sure to verify that this existing MB is still active on the account. Simply visit the MagicBands and Cards in your My Disney Experience account and scroll down to where it says, “Select a MagicBand or Card to Manage Its Status”. If it’s inactive, simply click on it and you will be able to change the status. Pretty simple, right?

Have you browsed the customized MagicBands online? I have my eyes on a few. They are so fun! You can always order one and have it shipped home, or even to your Disney Resort Hotel to be waiting for you when you arrive!

I hope you enjoy all the wonderful perks and benefits that come with being a Passholder! Be sure to make yourself familiar with the current list of restaurants that are offering 20% off to help commemorate the 45th anniversary of the Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope this helped answer your question. Please do come back and see us again soon!
