    Esther from AZ Asked

We bought Annual Passes for our kids right before the pandemic started (on Dec 27th, 2019 and February 14th, 2020), is the expiration date going to be extended accordingly to the Parks closure? Or are we going to get a reimbursement? Thank you in advance!

    Hey Esther!

We’re so glad you stopped by planDisney!

I see you joined the Annual Passholder Club right before the park closures. My family has been Annual Passholders to the Disneyland Resort for many many years. We love the flexibility of being able to stop by for dinner, a few of our favorite attractions, or a full day at the parks! I’d be lying if I said I didn’t miss walking down Main Street U.S.A with an ice cream cone from the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. I can’t wait to get back to the magic and I know the Disneyland Resort is doing everything in their power to make sure they make everything safe for guests upon reopening.

Since your passports have not expired yet, you have some options to choose from and in some cases you’ll need to call to let them know what you want to do. If you paid for the passports in full then they will automatically be extended for the duration of the park closures. You won’t get a new expiration date until the parks reopen. Alternatively, you can request a reimbursement for the theme park closure period and you’ll need to call Annual Passholder Services to request that option.

Since you’re from Arizona, you’re probably not on the payment plan. But if you were on the monthly payment plan then your payments would have already been paused back in April. When the parks reopen your payments would resume and your expiration date would remain the same. Alternatively, you could have your payments resume when the parks reopen for the duration that the parks were closed and you would get a new expiration date. You would need to call for this alternative option.

Well Esther, it looks like you have some options to choose from for what works best for your family. From all of us here at planDisney, we’re wishing you a wonderful holiday season.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
