If I've bought an annual pass but haven't activated it yet, am I still eligible for AP hotel discounts? Or does it need to be activated before I can apply a discount to my room?

Hello there, Veronica! Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We appreciate you taking the time to reach out and ask your wonderful Walt Disney World Resort question!

Welcome to the Disney World Annual Passholder family! In addition to gaining access to four amazing theme parks, you have also been granted quite a few other perks as well! Guests with Disney World Annual Passes have exclusive early FastPass+ reservations, complimentary MagicBands, special discounts on merchandise and more, complimentary standard parking when visiting the parks, and so much more. One of my personal favorite benefits, though, is exclusive discounts of select Disney Resort hotels throughout the year! I've used these special offers during my own time as a Disney World Annual Passholder to experience as many Disney Resort hotels as possible and would highly recommend utilizing a similar strategy!

You will be happy to know that you can go ahead and book Disney World Annual Passholder special offers as long as your purchased Annual Pass is linked to your My Disney Experience account. So, you do not have to activate your Annual Pass in order to qualify for these special offers. However, you will have to show your Annual Pass and a valid ID at check-in to receive this discount so be sure to activate your Annual Pass prior to checking-in!

Have fun continuing to plan many exciting trips during your year as a Disney World Annual Passholder!
