I bought an annual pass for Florida Residents but I don't use it yet because of the increase of pandemic. Is it possible to get refund of it?

    Hi there Mariela!

Welcome to planDisney! I am so glad you decided to ask us your question today. I too am a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder and I absolutely love it. Isn't it so magical to be able to go to the parks whenever you want? I don't think I'll ever get used to it! I have had mine since October 2021 and it has brought me so much magic already!

I am sorry you haven't been able to go to the parks to use your Annual Pass for the first time yet. I was so happy when I got my Annual Pass for the first time, especially with these beautiful new designs for The World's Most Magical Celebration! Unfortunately, Annual Passes are nonrefundable. However, the good news is that if you haven't used your Annual Pass yet, this means that it has not yet been activated. Your Annual Pass only gets activated when you go to the parks and use it for the first time. Therefore, when you do decide to go to the parks and activate your Annual Pass, you will be able to have it linked to your My Disney Experience account and see its updated expiration date. The expiration date that will appear under your Annual Pass will be one year from its activation, not its purchase!

The only thing you need to keep in mind is that you have one year to activate your Annual Pass, so make sure you go to activate it within a year of when it was purchased. Also, if you filled out the "Your Florida Resident Information" form when you purchased your Annual Pass, you will not need to show your proof of residence on your first visit! You can simply link your Annual Pass to your My Disney Experience account, make a theme park reservation and head on to the parks. However, you will still need to show a physical ticket for any discounts or complimentary parking. You can get this physical ticket at Guest Relations at the main entrance of any of the four parks.

Mariela, I hope this was helpful and that you'll get to use your Annual Pass real soon! A year with an Annual Pass is especially magical and I am sending you all the pixie dust for your next visit. Don't hesitate to reach out if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help!
