    I bought an annual pass a couple years ago as I was coming to Disney often with my friend. Unfortunately after purchase my job situation changed & I didn’t have vacation time and therefore couldn’t travel any longer. Did I lose that money?

    Hi there Marci, and welcome to planDisney!

    As a current Annual Passholder, so many of us definitely remember when there was a time in recent years when so many of us may have felt at a loss without being able to travel and make the most out of our Annual Passes. Since it does sound like a few years have already passed, I checked with a Guest Relations Cast Member to see whether there was anything that they'd be able to do for you:

    • The Cast Members wondered whether you had already activated your Annual Pass or reached out to anyone at Walt Disney World Resort for assistance that year, as there may be ways that they can assist guests - as long as they let them know sooner so that they can advise them about their current options.

    From my travels to different Disney Destinations I've learned that life definitely has its ways of altering course and sometimes we just can't anticipate what's "just around the riverbend" - so I'm always curious to see what helpful Cast Members can do in situations like these. (It's always disappointing to hear when we've missed out on experiencing something that we've already paid for, so here's hoping that they'll be able to help you out!) If you hadn't activated your Annual Pass at all and they do end up being able to put some of that towards a new one, here's hoping that you'll one day be able to take advantage of all the Passholder Perks to make up for that year - with even better ones to come!
