    At the bottom of my confirmation email for an umbrella rental from Typhoon Lagoon, it states that all minors need period of age and a photo ID. Is this right? My 11 year old does not have a photo ID of any kind.

     Welcome to planDisney, Paul. I'm so glad you stopped by! And I'm excited to hear you'll be heading to the Walt Disney World Resort this Summer. It's the perfect time to enjoy the uniquely-themed Disney Resort hotel pools, the you-may-get-wet attractions in the theme parks, and of course - the Disney Water Parks!

     Your family is sure to have a splash-tastic day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. My family of five loves jumping waves in the Typhoon Lagoon Surf Pool, gently floating down Castaway Creek, and climbing aboard Miss Adventure Falls for a white-water adventure! I think renting a Typhoon Lagoon Umbrella is a wonderful idea for your visit. Your rental includes guaranteed shade under a large beach umbrella, comfortable chairs, fresh towels, and a drink table - what's not to love about that? I understand your concern. My kids certainly don't have photo identification either! Rest assured that you do not need proof of age or photo identification for the minors in your family. As long as one member of your party is at least 18-years old, you'll be all set!

     A warm summer day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon will definitely call for some cool treats. Head to Happy Landings where you'll find specialty sundaes, soft-serve ice cream, and frozen novelties. Or, if you're craving a refreshing cocktail, drift by Let's Go Slurpin'. My husband and I recommend the Piña CoLAVA. Yum!
