Ahoy, Hugh!
Thanks for dropping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question.
Disney Cruise Line recently updated their
alcohol policy, which states:
"Disney Cruise Line Guests 21 years and older may bring a maximum of 2 bottles of unopened wine or champagne (no larger than 750 ml) or 6 beers (no larger than 12 ounces) on board at the beginning of the voyage and at each port of call. These beverages must be packed in carry-on (not checked) bags or luggage."
The policy is
per guest ages 21+ in the stateroom. For example, if there are four adults sharing a stateroom, it could be four 6-packs of beer or 8 bottles of wine. This is great for couples who may have a different beverage of choice, as they could each bring their own.
Guests are welcome to bring bottled water onboard in their carry-on bags as well. Moms Panel Tip: I always pack bottled water in a carry-on bag that has a handle and wheels - those bottles can be heavy! Remember, you'll have this bag with you from the time you board the ship until your stateroom is ready in the late afternoon, so you'll want it to be easy to carry around the ship with you. Carry-on bags will be scanned in an x-ray machine at the Cruise Terminal, so make sure your bags measure no larger than 22"x14"x9".
Thanks again for your question - have a magical day! - Diane W.
