Can we take bottled water into the parks in our backpacks?

Hello Sanford and a warm welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
Absolutely yes Sanford! It sure is a super smart idea to carry bottled water with you into the Disney Theme Parks and I'm happy to share that my family pack pre-chilled water in plastic water bottles to carry with us each and every time we visit Walt Disney World Resort.  It may also be useful for you to know that Guests may refill empty bottles at any water fountain or dispenser and may even request a free cup of water at most any Disney dining location - simply ask the nearest Cast Member who will be only too glad to assist!
There are various items which Guests are not permitted to bring into the Disney Parks but they may indeed bring snacks and beverages with them as long as the item does not require re-heating or are contained within glass containers (except for baby food jars).
Wishing you an extra magical upcoming visit to the enchantment of Walt Disney World Resort!
