Hey There, Christopher!
Welcome Home to planDisney. As a fellow Disney Vacation Club Member, I'm happy to help answer any questions you may have about your Membership. Since it looks like your visit is just around the corner, let me share a few details about the current rules for borrowing Vacation Points to help you move forward with booking your next DVC adventure.
Although Points borrowing was unrestricted in the past, currently, Disney Vacation Club Members
may borrow up to 50 percent of their Vacation Points from the upcoming Use Year. While DVC has indicated that this borrowing cap is a temporary change, there hasn't been any word yet about when this restriction might be lifted. For all the most up-to-date information about the borrowing cap, as well as any other DVC news and updates, be sure to keep an eye on the
"News & Alerts" section of the Disney Vacation Club website.
If you need a few extra Vacation Points for your upcoming visit beyond your borrowing limit, you may want to consider purchasing
one-time-use Points. Each Use Year, DVC Members have the option to purchase up to 24 additional Points for use during that year. Just keep in mind that these Points can't be used during your Home Resort Priority Period –– they can only be used to make reservations in the 7-month booking window. If you're interested in purchasing one-time-use Points, you can do this by giving
Member Services a call at (800) 800-9800.
Thanks for visiting planDisney, Christopher. I hope this helped to answer your question, but if you think of anything else, please feel free to stop by again. I'm wishing you lots of Membership magic during your upcoming Disney Vacation Club stay!
Happy Planning,
Amy
