Hi there, Christopher! Thanks so much for visiting planDisney with your vacation planning question. It's the best day ever anytime I get to meet a fellow
Disney Vacation Club Member, and I'm happy to help however I can.
Banking and borrowing is serious DVC business! One of the most appealing aspects of Membership when we were deciding to join was the flexibility to use
Vacation Points in many different ways to suit our needs from year to year. For our most recent trip to
Walt Disney World Resort, a friend was also traveling with us and I was able to borrow points to accommodate both reservations. It's one of the many benefits of being a DVC Member!
Christopher, I went straight to the experts--in this case the helpful pals at
Member Services--about your question. As always, they were a great source of information! In many cases, you can borrow Vacation Points even if you have points remaining in your current
Use Year. Points may be borrowed up to one Use Year ahead of the one the travel dates are in, so that may make it possible to secure both bookings without any modifications.
However, because this question is so specific to your particular situation, they strongly suggested reaching out via chat or phone so the Cast Members can take a look at your Membership and your planned travel dates. They will do their best to make some vacation magic happen for you!
It's been a pleasure, Christopher! Thanks again for visiting planDisney. I hope you'll be having
#thatmagicalfeeling soon on your upcoming vacation--please reach out anytime if we can help with additional questions.
Stay Magical!
Susan
