Ahoy there, Aileen!
Welcome aboard planDisney! It sounds like you’ve assembled quite the crew for this adventure, and they’ve wisely chosen you to captain the planning ship. Leading four staterooms through the booking process? That’s no small task—you’re basically the Moana of your group, charting the way to the fun that lies beyond the horizon!
Now, let’s tackle your question head-on. If this will be your
very first Disney sailing (and if my math is correct), your advance booking window should open on October 6th for your December 20, 2025
voyage on the Treasure (did I guess the right ship?). Be sure to double-check the exact date in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app so you’re ready when the clock strikes midnight—no Fairy Godmother required!
Here’s the key: in order to book Port Adventures, premium dining like Palo Steakhouse or Enchanté, or other onboard activities such as beverage tastings, your cruise reservation must be paid in full. That’s why I’d recommend making that final payment now rather than waiting until the booking window opens in a few days. That way, when the time comes, you’ll be free to focus on snagging those must-do adventures for your entire party.
According to the Walt Disney Travel Company terms and conditions, final payment is typically due 100 days prior to your sailing for most itineraries. If you booked through a travel professional, they can confirm the exact deadline and process your payment. If you booked directly with Disney, you can pay in full by
calling the Walt Disney Travel Company.
As for your credit card details for your onboard account, you’ll enter those
during Online Check-In (usually about 30 days before sailing). That’s the step where you’ll decide whether to link a card for automatic charges or set up cash as your onboard payment method. So don’t worry—booking your Port Adventures won’t require a card number upfront, just a paid-in-full reservation.
I hope this helps set your compass in the right direction as you prepare to book for your whole crew. You’ve got this, and soon you’ll be choosing between exploring ports of call, enjoying the Treasure’s stunning new spaces, or both. Planning for four staterooms may feel like juggling with Lumière, but once you’re onboard, it’ll all be worth it.
Sea ya real soon with boo-tiful nights and frightfully fun days,
Dustin
