We are booking this weekend for our May2012 first family trip to mickey's house and my DH would love to upgrade to the club lvl at the AKL, is this worth the price, are kids allowed in the lounge area and what is the advanced itinerary planning? Thanks!

Hi Angela! Children are allowed to stay in Concierge Level accommodations with Adults at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. Concierge guest rooms are located on part of floor 5 and all of 6. The actual lounge and staff are located on the 6th floor. The lounge is spacious and the food quite good. There are varied selections of South African cuisine through out the day and evening. Children should be accompanied by an adult in the lounge at all times.

The Advanced Itinerary Planning means that Cast Members can assist you in dining, entertainment or just about any Disney plans you might want to make. In addition, the Sunset or Wanyama Safari is exclusively offered to Animal Kingdom Lodge Concierge Guests. It is approximately 1 1/2 hours long and takes place on the savannas of Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. The cost is $190.64 for ages 8 and up (tax not included) and this experience can only be booked by Animal Kingdom Lodge Itinerary Planning Office or Animal Kingdom Lodge Club Concierge.
