We're booking a WDWR for 5 nights but only buying 4 day park hopper tickets. When we check in if it is later in the afternoon are we able to use the extra magic hours to go into the park or will it count as a day from our 4 day ticket?

    Hi Kristiana,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for stopping by with your ticket question.  Guests staying at a Disney Resort hotel are eligible to attend Extra Magic Hours with their theme park tickets.  Although you are eligible to attend any of the Extra Magic Hours, you will need to use one of your theme park admissions in order to gain entry into the theme park.  If you plan on purchasing a 4 day ticket, you will be granted admission into any of the theme parks on 4 separate days.

Since you will be visiting for 5 nights but will have 4 day tickets, my advice is to use your tickets on days in which you have the entire day to enjoy the theme park.  Therefore since you arrive in the afternoon on day 1 of your vacation you might consider doing a different activity than visiting a theme park on that day.  In situations like that my family loves to explore our Disney Resort hotel, enjoy some pool time, or visit the Downtown Disney Area ~ all of which are free.  There are a lot of fun things to do and explore outside the theme parks and do not require you to use one of your theme park admissions.

Have a Magical vacation and please let us know if you have any further vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
