When booking a (value) hotel at Disneyworld, I cannot continue without selecting a park-ticket option. Does this mean that park tickets are mandatory, or is there another reason I cannot book the room without park tickets? (I already have tickets)

Hi Jacco! Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks for reaching out to us with your question.

I’m happy to confirm that you can book your Disney Resort hotel stay separately from your theme park tickets. This flexibility allows you to tailor your adventure just the way you like! To get started, head over to the European Walt Disney World Travel Company website. Once there, you’ll see a drop-down menu under the main blue header bar. Look for the 'Shop For' section and select the 'Hotel Only' option from the menu. From there, enter your preferred travel dates and follow the prompts, and you’ll be all set with your booking in no time!

I took a quick peek starting with your arrival date, and I’m happy to report that there’s still availability at some fantastic options! Resorts like Disney’s All-Star Music and All-Star Movies are available, which are both great choices if you’re looking for classic Disney-theming and budget-friendly rates. Disney’s Art of Animation Resort is another fantastic option. It offers beautifully themed family suites inspired by Disney's animated films, and it has access to the Disney Skyliner! This magical ride is a convenient mode of transportation and a fun way to enjoy some breathtaking views of the parks and resorts. It’s a whimsical experience in itself, and very handy if you aren't planning on driving while in the States.

Remember, you can always speak with a friendly Cast Member to make a reservation if you continue to experience issues online.

If you need more help navigating the booking process or choosing the perfect resort, feel free to ask us at planDisney! We’re here to help your Disney adventure run as smooth and magical as possible. Happy planning, Jacco, and here’s to an unforgettable trip!

    See you real soon,
