It’s absolutely possible! While a Land and Sea package offers convenience, it’s not the only way to organize a Walt Disney World and Disney Cruise vacation.
I find booking the components of the trip separately often offers greater savings. Price it out and see which works best.
Your vacation plans sound magical. Most of our vacations to WDW are booked without a package. However, I’ll likely take advantage of the
free dining offer this Fall. Otherwise, I book my hotel and tickets separately and then pay for dining out of pocket.
You can book your WDW vacation package or the components separately. See mousesavers.com for discounts.
Then, price out your cruise. Also see mousesavers.com for cruise discount ideas.
Factor in whether you will have your own car, rent a car or need transfers. Disney’s Magical Express provides complimentary transport between the Orlando International Airport and the WDW resorts. Transportation to Port Canaveral can be purchased through the Disney Cruise Line.
Designing your own “package” can yield some savings. I would price out your vacation in several ways, including:
1. Land and Sea package with extra land days to accommodate your time at Sea World
2.
DCL with WDW package such as free dining offer
3. DCL with WDW resort room only rate, tickets from Undercover Tourist and out-of-pocket dining
Plus, you’ll need to decide if you will stay at WDW the entire time or move to a less expensive off-site hotel for your time at Sea World.
It’ll take a little research to figure out the best plan for your family, however your magical vacation will be worth the work.
