Hello, Christy. Welcome to
planDisney. Thanks for stopping by to ask us a question.
Christy, it is so exciting that you are interested in planning a Walt Disney World vacation. It truly is the
Most Magical Place On Earth. When you
book a vacation package through the Walt Disney World website, you are required to pay a $200 deposit on vacations that are 31 days out or beyond. So your travel dates would fall well within that timeframe if you wanted to start planning your vacation now. Payment is due in full 30 days prior to your check-in day. While Walt Disney World does not offer payment plans, you can manage the balance any way you would like. You can pay for your vacation package a little bit at a time leading up to your vacation or you can pay it all in one lump sum. It's really what works best for you. For packages booked within 30 days of arrival, the balance is due in full at the time of booking.
Christy, another important thing to keep in mind while planning your Walt Disney World vacation is dining reservations. You can make
advanced dining reservations 60 days prior to your check-in day. I know for your December travel dates that's still a ways away but it's important not to forget. Some of the best places fill up quickly and I don't want you to miss out. You can make advanced dining reservations starting at 6:00 a.m. online via your
MyDisneyExperience account or over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE.
December is such a great time to visit the Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Christy. All of the parks are dressed up in their holiday best. It is so festive and fun. My family and I visit the week of Christmas each year and absolutely love it. If you have other planning questions along the way, please feel free to stop back by and
ask me. I'm here to help.
Happy planning!
