Booking a trip in January 2014 for September or October 2014...If free dining plan not offiered when trip is booked and free dining plan is offered at a later date for the time we will be visiting...will I be able to change to the free dining plan

    Hi Jean!

Disney's Free Dining Promotion is a great way to save on your Walt Disney World vacation, with seven people in our family it is always a lifesaver.  My family has taken advantage of this offer many times and it has allowed us to try almost every dining location at Walt Disney World, something we may not have otherwise.

I don't have any information if Disney will indeed be offering free dining again in 2014, but you can certainly have this promotion (or any special offer that is released) after you have already booked your vacation.  You will need to contact your travel agent or just call (407) W-Disney and a cast member will be able to assist adding any special offer to your booked reservation.  If you have already paid the balance of your reservation, the difference will be refunded back to your original method of payment.  Which is why I always stress that if you pay using Disney Gift Cards, hang onto them until the end of your trip in case any money needs to be refunded back to your gift card.

Disney's Free Dining Promotion is very popular and in order to stay at your preferred resort and room type, I highly suggest getting adding this special offer to your reservation as soon as it is available for guests.  Each resort only has a certain amount of room and room types set aside for this promotion and once they are gone you will have to either upgrade your room preference or switch resorts in order to take advantage of Disney's Free Dining.

I hope this was helpful, Jean and please visit us again if you have anymore questions!

    Happy Planning!
