I am booking a trip for December. We want the dining plan, but are hoping it may be offered for free at that time. Can we book our room and tickets now and add the dining plan closer to trip (free or not)?

Hello, Jeff!  Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I am glad to hear that you are planning for an upcoming Walt Disney World Resort vacation.  December is such a MAGICAL time to visit.  All the sights and sounds are wonderful during this time of the year!

You may certainly add the Disney Dining Plan at a later time.  However, Disney asks that you do this at least 72 hours prior to your arrival.

Thank you so much for visiting the Moms Panel.  Please join us again real soon should any new questions or concerns pop-up.  We are always ready to help our guests plan the vacation of a lifetime!  May your vacation be filled with many new and MAGICAL memories.

~Have a MAGICAL day and "SEE YOU REAL SOON"!~
