    Hello, We are booking a trip around Christmas time at the contemporary. How soon can you start booking christmas events, like new years eve and everything?

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing another great question to us!

    We spent the week of Christmas at the Walt Disney World Resort this past December and it was truly magical! I am so excited for you. Always keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about special ticketed events. In early April of last year, we noticed Tickets Now On Sale for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom Park. Yes, some of us were purchasing those tickets in April! Last year, we all took notice when they announced in June an EARLY LOOK: Magical Holiday Happenings at all Four Walt Disney World Theme Parks, Disney Springs in 2019. That article mentioned that we could start booking the Candlelight Processional Dining Packages on July 3, 2019 and I was ready to book by that date! By mid-November the Disney Parks Blog had compiled a list of Appetizing Occasions: Celebrate New Year's Eve 2019 with Amazing Events at Walt Disney World Resort. Although we did not stay to celebrate New Year's Eve last year, we left just prior and lots of guests were arriving to join in the festivities

    Of course, I also always check the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort information, especially to see what the dates will be for Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party! And I check the Holidays at Disney Springs information. We loved the Christmas Tree Trail on this past trip and, a few years ago, my girls made a visit to see Santa! Finally, be sure to keep your eye on the New Year's Eve at Walt Disney World Resort activities. Perhaps most important, consider what your transportation options will be for the evening - it will be busy and you will want to stay safe! 

    Monica, Disney's Contemporary Resort is one of our favorite resorts! We absolutely adore California Grill, so definitely consider making an advanced dining reservation there. One of our traditions is to dine during the Happily Ever After fireworks show at Magic Kingdom. Be sure to check the show's dates and times to see if it will occur during your visit. The views are simply stunning!
