I am booking a 1st-time cruise for my family ( spouse and two boys 7 & 3) spring break on the Magic. Do you feel it is worth it to book concierge level and are they building a special concierge lounge in the terminal? I want to splurge-limo xfer and

    Hi Phil,

This is a great question!  We have sailed in concierge cabins a few times, and although I don't think that we utilized the full range of services that the concierge offered - it is something that we really enjoyed.  For my family, the biggest benefits of cruising in a concierge cabin were:
    • Priority Boarding - Currently the terminal is in the middle of renovations to accommodate the Disney Dream, but there is a separate waiting area for the concierge guests.  This does not have amenities such as food or drink, but it's a nice comfortable place to wait prior to boarding.  Once boarding commences, the concierge guests (and Platinum Castaway Club Guests) board first.
    • Hot Breakfast - Since we have small children, the ability to have our hot breakfast delivered to our stateroom was a big draw for us.  This allowed us to avoid the buffets (where one parent has to assemble all the food while the other entertains the little ones at the table).  This can also be done with your lunch, dinner and Palo meals as well.
    • Booking Assistance - Whether it's spa treatments, Palo, Port Adventures etc. the concierge will make the arrangements for you.  We didn't book anything in advance, but once on board if we had something we wanted to try the concierge took care of it for us.  Also anything we would need to visit guest services for, they would take care of it for us.
    • Goodies - We had goodies left for us almost every day.  From fruit baskets, to dessert trays it was always a nice surprise to see a little treat in our cabin.
    • Stateroom - This should probably be moved up to the #1 bullet, because the size of the suites are really worth it.  The extra space was fantastic for our family, I loved having a separate sleeping area in the event someone needed to nap.

I hope it helps, good luck with your decision!
